The new pope is Cardinal Robert Prevost from the United States, who took the name Leo XIV. His election was announced on Thursday after 7 PM from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica by Cardinal Protodeacon Dominique Mamberti on May 8, 2025.

A visual reportage from the Gdansk Shipyard that captures the transformation of this historic industrial site over the years. Once a symbol of heavy industry and social movements, the area is now evolving – physically, socially, and symbolically. The photographs document the fading traces of shipbuilding, the emergence of new architecture, and the tension between memory, identity, and modernity. This reportage was produced for Forum Polish Photographers Agency.

The photographs featuring Fatima, a resident of Amchit and a displaced woman with a son with special needs, are an integral part of the report titled "Like a Shadow That Does Not Fade." This report delves into the complexity of contemporary humanitarian aid, highlighting its diversity and the challenges it faces. It also raises questions about the effectiveness, authenticity, and form of humanitarian efforts, which, despite numerous difficulties, remain a crucial response to global humanitarian crises.

I had the honor and pleasure of attending the 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague and creating a photo report from this exceptional event that shaped the future of international security. It was an extraordinary experience to witness firsthand the key moments and crucial discussions among the leaders of member states.
