In the Shadow of Departure — Remembering Pope Francis

The photographs depict southern Beirut, specifically the Dahieh district, after the airstrikes in October last year, which resulted in numerous casualties and severe damage to residential buildings.

I had the honor and pleasure of attending the 2025 NATO Summit in The Hague and creating a photo report from this exceptional event that shaped the future of international security. It was an extraordinary experience to witness firsthand the key moments and crucial discussions among the leaders of member states.

The funeral of Pope Francis took place on April 26, 2025, at St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City. Thousands of mourners and world leaders attended the ceremony to pay tribute to the late pope’s legacy.

The new pope is Cardinal Robert Prevost from the United States, who took the name Leo XIV. His election was announced on Thursday after 7 PM from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica by Cardinal Protodeacon Dominique Mamberti on May 8, 2025.
